ACN/TELUS Mobility Web Store Security

TELUS Mobility is a Certified Internet Secure Merchant. Internet Secure Inc. has been approved by the top five Canadian banks to provide secure, online, real-time credit card processing for certified Internet merchants.

When we ask for your credit card information, you will be in a fully secure area of the Internet Secure web site. You will know you're in a secure area when the 'lock' icon in the bottom left hand corner of your Netscape Navigator screen (bottom right if you are using Microsoft Internet Explorer) is closed, or if there is a solid blue line across the top of your browser window.

TELUS Mobility does not, at any time, see your credit card information. Credit card transactions and approvals, are performed entirely within the secure environment provided by our online commerce partner, Internet Secure.

What's a Cookie?

A "cookie" is text information shared between your computer and a Web site. The TELUS Mobility Web Store uses a temporary cookie to track which products you've chosen to purchase. The cookie expires once you're done shopping and have closed your Web browser. TELUS Mobility doesn't use information transferred through cookies for any promotional or marketing purposes, nor is the information shared with any third parties whatsoever.

You can set your Web browser to refuse cookies or to alert you when cookies are being sent to your computer. However, it's possible that some Web sites, like the TELUS Mobility Web Store shopping area, won't function properly if you do so.

Data Encryption

If you are using a security-enabled browser (such as Microsoft Internet Explorer version 2.1 or greater, or Netscape Navigator version 2.0 or greater), the credit card information you send Internet Secure regarding the purchase is encrypted, making it extremely difficult to read even if it is intercepted. The use of a security enabled browser to make online transactions is strongly recommended. Other information, such as shipping information collected by TELUS Mobility, is not encrypted.

Internet Secure utilizes industry-standard Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology to allow for the encryption of confidential information such as your name, address and credit card number.
